Wolf of Wall Steeet review

Martin Scorsese’s masterpiece, The Wolf Of Wall Street, features drugs, sex, cash, and well, more drugs.

Leonardo DiCaprio has, on previous occasions, amazed us with his outstanding performances in films such as The Aviator, Once upon a time in Hollywood, The Departed and Blood Diamond. However, this time around, DiCaprio gives his greatest performance to date. DiCaprio plays stockbroker Jordan Belfort, a beginner in the stock market business who soon becomes a ruthless money thirsty wolf.

Accompanied by Jonah Hill and various other ambitious brokers, Belfort embarks on a money crazed journey to get to the top of Wall Street. Belfort and his associates soon become wrapped up in federal crimes such as money laundering and stock manipulation. The lavish lives of Belfort, and Jonah Hill’s character Donnie Azoff, are hilarious and ridiculous in almost equal measure.

Both DiCaprio and Hill share the opportunity to be nominated for an academy award which they both deserve without question. This will be the 4th best actor nomination for DiCaprio and I believe he will go on to win many more awards for his outstanding acting.
